Biography
am a Sicilian decorator and restorer, based in Catania, working both nationally and internationally.
I studied at the State Institute of Art with a specialization in Surveying and Cataloguing of Cultural Heritage, and later attended the “Nike” Academy of Fine Arts and Restoration, where I graduated with top honors in Painting and Restoration.
From that year onward, I have collaborated with nationally and internationally renowned companies, working on numerous restoration and decoration projects, including some of the most significant:
- Sculptures and stone elements in lava stone and white stone
- Metals and bronzes at the Bellini Gardens in Catania
- Interior restoration of the Church of the Badia of Saint Agatha in Catania
- Restoration of the monumental staircase and stucco decorations of Villa Romeo delle Torrazze
- The ceilings of the Faro House-Museum in Pedara
I also developed a long-standing collaboration with Maltese companies, working on projects ranging from the papier-mâché works of Master Malecore to the frescoes of the dome of St. Helena’s Basilica and the Grand Master’s Palace in Valletta.
The Call of the Motherland
At the same time, starting in 2008, I rediscovered my love for my homeland. By studying Sicilian style, I had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned Italian brands in the high fashion sector. My passion for the history of historical costume led me to create high-quality collectible artworks, which I have had the honor of exhibiting at the Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow and in the ateliers of established couturiers and art collectors.
I firmly believe in the value of culture and curiosity as the winning keys to standing out, and in professionalism and humility as essential qualities for always giving one’s best and understanding that there is always more to learn as long as imagination and creativity remain my fuel, and pencil and colors the tools that make it all visible.
