Art Restoration

The restoration of artworks and frescoes is a fundamental activity for the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage. Working on historical artifacts means not only preserving their original beauty, but also safeguarding their memory and symbolic value.

In compliance with the Italian Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape (Legislative Decree of January 22, 2004), every restoration project is carried out in full respect of current regulations, with the aim of ensuring both the integrity of the asset and its transmission to future generations.

Work methodology: between tradition and innovation

Through in-depth diagnostic investigations, preliminary tests, and accurate documentation of each operational phase.

The Atelier combines traditional workshop techniques with the latest discoveries in scientific research, offering a service that brings together tradition, innovation, and respect for the artwork’s history.

This approach ensures long-lasting interventions that are consistent with international principles of restoration and conservation.

Restoration of sculptures, frames, and antique furniture

Among the services offered by the Atelier is the restoration of papier-mâché sculptures, typical of the Italian artistic tradition, as well as the recovery of gilded frames, furnishings, and antique furniture.

Each intervention is carried out to the highest professional standards, with preliminary analyses that make it possible to assess the state of conservation and identify the most appropriate techniques.

The goal is to restore the artwork’s beauty while respecting its original materials and historic craftsmanship techniques.

Restoration of frescoes and decorated architectural surfaces

One of the Atelier’s main specializations is the restoration of frescoes and decorated surfaces found on walls and ceilings. These are complex interventions that require interdisciplinary expertise and great sensitivity.

The Atelier employs traditional workshop techniques combined with modern scientific tools to consolidate plaster layers, recover original colors, and preserve the readability of the decorations without altering their authenticity.
