Wooden artwork featuring the Minnedda Niura Etna grape variety – 12 cm – The wooden artwork is hand-painted and inspired by ancient botanical illustrations. With the guidance of an expert biologist, the artist created the CULTIVAR ETNEE collection as a tribute to the fruits of the Sicilian land.
The piece depicts the grape variety known as Minnedda Niura, an indigenous vine variety at risk of extinction. It is found scattered in old vineyards, traditionally grown alongside Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, and is considered a true relic of Etna’s viticultural heritage. The name was given by local winegrowers due to the shape of the grape, which resembles a “minna,” meaning a breast.
The artwork is fitted with a hanging hook, is hand-signed by the artist, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
